pfsense

This is an example of a pfSense implementation for one of my clients.

pfSense® software is a free, open-source customized distribution of FreeBSD specifically tailored for use as a firewall and router that is entirely managed via web interface. In addition to being a powerful, flexible firewalling and routing platform, it includes a long list of related features and a package system allowing further expandability without adding bloat and potential security vulnerabilities to the base distribution.

The pfSense project is hosted and developed by Rubicon Communications, LLC (Netgate).

proxmox

This is an example of a Proxmox implementation for one of my clients.

Proxmox VE is a complete open-source platform for enterprise virtualization. With the built-in web interface, you can easily manage VMs and containers, software-defined storage and networking, high-availability clustering, and multiple out-of-the-box tools on a single solution.

Motioneye

This is an example of a motionEyeOS open-source surveillance system implementation for one of my clients.

motionEyeOS is a Linux distribution that turns a single-board computer into a video surveillance system. The OS is based on BuildRoot and uses motion as a backend and motionEye for the frontend.

Welcome to the wild world of IT projects, my friend! Are you ready to see what one tech-savvy individual has been up to? You're in for a real treat because these projects are sure to blow your mind.

First up, let's talk about the deployment of a pfsense server. I know what you're thinking, "an old server for a firewall, DNS, and VPN? That doesn't sound like much." But trust me, this old server has been given new life as a powerful solution for enhanced security and privacy on the individual's network. Plus, it allows for greater control over your online presence and traffic. Can you say "souping up the old jalopy"?

Next, we have the creation of a custom surveillance system using motioneye and Ubuntu. This is a particularly impressive feat as it shows not only a deep understanding of the technology involved but also a willingness to think outside of the box and create something truly unique. With this system in place, you can monitor and record activity on your property, providing peace of mind and an added layer of security. I mean, who doesn't want to know who's been stealing their snacks from the fridge?

But that's not all! The individual also deployed a Proxmox server on an old HP 1U server. This allows for the hosting of several virtual machines and containers, including motioneye, pihole, guacamole, and ansible. Plus, there are three Linux testing virtual machines and a Unify controller running on Debian. This is a truly impressive feat and highlights the individual's expertise in virtualization and containerization. So basically this person turned an old server into a virtual powerhouse!

It's clear that this individual has a passion for technology and is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible. From repurposing old equipment to creating custom solutions, these projects demonstrate a deep understanding of the IT field and a willingness to think creatively. You can only imagine what this individual will come up with next, and you can't wait to see what they will achieve in the future.
